Fishing Locations
For fishing locations go to www.districtgov.org/vccdd/recreation/fishing.asp
I attended last months fresh water fishing club meeting and they discussed stocking some of the ponds. I didn't really pay that much attention because I had other interests. There were pictures that someone had taken of several nice crappies caught locally before last months meeting. The next meeting is at Miona Rec Center on Oct 13 at 7 PM. I'm a bass fisherman and fished a tournament 2 Sundays ago about 35 miles west of TV. 1st place was 5 fish weighing 19 lbs +. Big bass was 8.4 I was embarrassed to take my 5 little ones in that only weighed 9.86. There's always next time. F16 Last edited by F16 1UB; 09-26-2009 at 12:39 PM. |

Last Saturday, my wife and I were walking down by the lake, Clear Lake, we live near in Norcal. There was a bass tournament happening. A couple boats were just off the dock fishing. We stopped to talk to a city policeman who was eating his brown bag lunch a a picnic table and started a conversation about the tournament. He said that a few weeks ago a few 5 lb fish were taken right near the ramp. Also, said it was only for semi-pros and only had a first prize of $100K! Bout put me on the floor - $100K to catch a few fish.
(we moved up here full time after selling our home in the East Bay two months ago - so didn't know anything about fishing for bucks) .

I will be renting in TV the first 2 weeks of April. My best friend, my nephew and my brother-in-law love to fish. Does anyone have any updates on fishing at TV and if they can rent some equipment? Thank you friends!

Here Ya Go
Thanks to the contributions of the Freshwater Fishing Club, the Recreation Department has a Rod Loaner Program which is available at La Hacienda Regional Recreation Center and Lake Miona Regional Recreation Center. It is a “free-rental” system where, upon request, rods and reels can be checked-out with a Villages ID or Guest ID card. You may contact the La Hacienda Recreation Center at 753-1716 or Lake Miona
Regional Recreation Center 430-2950 for more information. If you would like more information you may attend The Fresh Water Fishing Club meeting which is held the second Tuesday of the month, 6:30pm at the Lake Miona Regional Recreation Center. |
