Default Summer 2012 Olympics--Do you think China will pass the US on medal count?

China seems to be getting very competitive in earning medals at the Olympics. I have even seen a few predictions that the US will come in 2nd as to total Olympic medal count.

I stopped watching the Olympics because it all became about countries and not about individuals competing. Judges hostility overshadowed their honesty when judging events, etc

China has almost four times the population that we have. If they don't beat us there is something wrong. The only way to really measure would be by the number of medals per 100,000 people.
if China wins four times as many medals as the U.S. Then they will have beaten us.

Good point. China will win more Summer Olympic medals than any other country at some point. Maybe, not just yet in 2012 though.

I would like to see the host company --Great Britain-- doing a little better.

China is on top of the Country Medal Count again. Probably not for long though. It certainly is very competitive between these two countries' athletes this Summer Olympics.

I had hoped that an Israeli athlete would medal this Summer Olympics. So far, no. http://www.london2012.com/medals/medal-count/

I actually root more for various individual athletes --no matter what country they are from-- because of their stories.
