Default Be one year about from Memorial Day (07) to Memorial Day (08)

It was on 2007's Memorial Day that The Villages Daily Sun ran a local neighborhood article on me on my work. This article was by Mr. Gary Corsair and was about my fight to get links to the FL Victim Service Directory-- among other things-- hooked up at various TV area public libraries.

I got Lake County Library System connected up with little or no effort. http://www.lakeline.lib.fl.us/intern...oryCategory=24

But have had no luck over the past year-- despite this Villages Daily Sun May 28, 2007 article-- and my few e-mails requesting this link to the Marion and Sumter County Library Systems. I have not been a real pest with these requests as I had made out of myself in the Tampa Bay area for years.

Hope that I can get some help from TOTVers with making requests to the Sumter and Marion County Library systems to get a link to the FL Victim Services Directory. http://myfloridalegal.com/directory

Sumter County Library System's website and their "Helpful Links" -- http://sumtercountyfl.gov/libraries/links.htm.

Marion County Library System's website http://marioncountyfl.org/Library/Library_default.aspx

They do not really have a "Useful Links" section at Marion County's Library System.

I recently bombarded FL media with requests to get them involved with checking on library systems in their areas and whether these libraries have a link to the FL Victim Services Directory but have heard nothing back. http://www3.capwiz.com/mygov/dbq/media/

Again, I hope that TOTVers will get involved with this. Seems like a very worthwhile cause to help with some time.

You might drop the Orange County Library System (Orlando) as well about their getting such a link. http://www.ocls.info/Virtual/NetLink...esID=12&bhcp=1

Checked links October 8, 2008.

I just checked these links and only the one for the Florida Victim Services Directory is relevant. I plan to bring this up if I get called for Jury Duty. I believe that the Sumter County Library, Sheriffs' Office, and other counties' library and sheriff's offices should have links to the Florida Victim Services Directory. It shows respect for the needs of survivors of crimes and their input into the legal system.
