Default The End of America by Naomi Wolf

I finally finished this book. Scary reading. :yikes: I had to read it in little bits.
A so-called friend gave it to me for Christmas. Now she refuses to read it. lol

Lots of fiction is scary. This book is a left leaning book of nonsense. I don't know how well read you are in history and the politics of this country, but this is just tripe.

So don't be scared. Just get more informed so that you can recognize drivel when you read it.

Thanks TallerTrees. Actually, I'm not very well read in history and politics. We moved a lot, so I went to many, many schools. I found that history and math classes are pretty linear. If you only gets bits and pieces here and there, you never know very much. I can balance my checkbook and I know how to build a log cabin, but that's it. :P

You've got me fooled, my friend Judy, cause I can tell you are quite bright and very well read. YOU have to be.......LOOK how many places in Ohio you have lived. Don't let this girl fool ya, crowd.

She know that of which she speaks. (Is that the proper form?)

Hahaha! Nope! I don't really know that of which I speak. I normally stick with Janet Evanovich and cozy murder mysteries. This time I ventured out into non-fiction, which TallerTrees said was fiction, and see what happened? I'll stick to my happy murder mysteries from now on.

UUJUDY:

I think what Tall was trying to get across is that since you said it was "scary" that you shouldn't take as gospel whatever you read even though it is under non-fiction. It's good to read non-fiction, but fact check stuff you think sounds off or scary or whatever.

RetiredGuy,
The scary part for me was that as I read the book I found myself saying, "Oh yes! I remember that!" As we all know, my memory ain't what it used to be. LOL

Tall, I agree with your assessment of Ms. Wolf's book. It was unending rage directed at President Bush. Uniformed and unreasoning.
