Micah 6:8: "He has told you, O man, what is good, and what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?".

Corinthians

Eye has not seen, ear has not heard nor has it ever dawned on man what God has prepared for those who love him!

1John 5:11-12 And the witness is this, that God has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life. He who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.

Samuel 15:3

"Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys."

Genesis 6-7 NLT
6 “Look!” he said. “The people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them! 7 Come, let’s go down and confuse the people with different languages. Then they won’t be able to understand each other.”

And Happy Easter.

I had minored in Religious Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno. Took courses in the History of Religion in the US, Medieval Art, Medieval History, Philosophy of Religion, etc.

Matthew 12:40 "For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."

This is my favorite because it forced me to prove if Jesus is the Messiah or not (He is). Of course, there is no "three days and three nights" between a Friday crucifixion and a Sunday resurrection. That means that Good Friday / Easter Sunday is fraudulent - didn't happen that way. That made me consider that the death / resurrection of Jesus was also fraudulent. This forced me into a deep study on how to reconcile the obvious discrepancy and find out what is true.

The result is amazing. Jesus absolutely was in the grave 3 days and 3 nights. It is crystal clear from just reading the scriptures and believing what it says. He died on a Wednesday just before sunset and was resurrected on a Saturday at the same time. Happy to share that study with anyone who asks (just a PDF file). Not going to post that here.

That's why this is my favorite scripture - it increased my faith in the Savior and my belief in the Bible.

Did the stranger sojourn legally?

As I noted in post #12, to sojourn means to visit temporarily.

Yes, no one ever said that the Lord was a patsy. Child sacrifices to Molech and placing live children into walls when houses were built so their spirits would hold up the house were some abhorrent practices.

I’m not the religious type, but I was required to do the Sunday school thing as a youth. The only thing that stuck with me from that experience, and something I still try to follow, is the saying “Do on to others as you would want done on yourself”.

Default Is it true

that Jesus was born in April... and the Catholic Church adopted many pagan rituals to attract people to its religion?

Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone.............if followed would put blogging out of business..........

I do not think we have enough of real historical record to determine many of the facts of the life and death of Jesus Christ. We do have various Gospels.

The earliest gospel was written about 40 years after the death of Christ. Now if you ask a couple of your neighbors about the same thing that happened 40 years ago…
