The books do tend to open your mind to things that were hard to understand. It would be interesting to be at the ladies book club!
Trish,

I also admit to reading it. Also on book 3. There are so many women that go to our pool that also admit to reading it. Don't kid yourself, we admit however, many will not admit to it.

I'm halfway thru the second one and I am enjoying the series. I like to know what makes people tick. I think most of the sex stuff is about being open to new things that can turn out to be different from what you thought.

So many other really great stories out there to spend a few hours reading.
I'm with you. I never thought sex could be boring but this author managed to accomplish that. I kept thinking I had lost my place and was reading a page twice. Nope, just same scene and same dialog.

The sex part at one point did drag on and on. I did find myself skipping around some of it, but overall I enjoyed the plot.

"Now, those are two EXCELLENT BOOKS. Russka is a novel on Russia from it's earliest days."

I agree, Russka was great.

50 Shades of Gray seems like it is a remake of The Story of O.

YES! I read them all. Although it was a bit far fetched but a good story anyway with a happy ending.

You have to read all three, the last one is very interesting and ties together the first book.

I have read the first two books, and I am 1/2 way through book 3. Getting a little tedious by now, but I have to see how it turns out. Any guesses on which actress and actor will play Anastasia and Christian in the movie that is sure to be made?

I know the actress from the Harry Potter films is playing the lead female role.

I thought it was edgy but thought provoking and it would be a great book club discussion.
