What makes a movie a Romance? Seriously? King Kong (the first one) was an incredible love story with some mystery, horror and adventure thrown in. Even Starship Troopers could qualify (girl loves guy who loves another girl).
Many, if not most, movies have love at the center of the story.

Not sure those two would be good date movies. I recall taking Jennifer to License to Kill which had some love affairs involving James Bond and she was not impressed. But When Harry Met Sally was another matter.

You might be really suprised. In the day, Dracula, with Bela Lugosi was one of the best at after movie hot action, with virtually the whole movie seething with serial energy.
