The NY Times ran an article about The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel in yesterday's paper. The movie cost $10 million and has already taken in $88.8 million--expected to gross another $30 million by July.

We went to a 10:15 showing today and it was a joy to watch. The spirit of the film was wonderful, the dialogue was terrific and the acting superb. I particularly enjoyed Maggie Smith and Judi Dench. I love a good script and this one really hit all the right notes for us. The audience was laughing aloud at all the good lines. Give yourselves a treat and catch this one at Rialto. JMHO

We saw it yesterday.
Kinda like The Villages only in India. Old people, people from all walks of life, some die, some are broke; crowded; mopeds instead of golf carts...you get it Good movie. I was pleasantly surprised although I liked The Artist too. ![]() |

I just saw the movie at Spanish Springs. I liked it and most everyone else seemed to also.

Saw it last night, loved it. Especially funny if you can speak "Brit", particularly when applied to Maggie Smith's part. Judi Dench is always wonderful, did anyone else read that she is going blind with macular, and learns her scripts from someone reading them to her - incredible actress and a real lady.
We thought it was a real nice, feel good movie, everyone seems to get what they most want in life! Will definitely see it again because there is so much going on. |

We just saw "Marigold" last night, and liked it, especially Judi Dench. It reminds me a bit of Slumdog Millionaire, and not just the crowded India background. Something a little unusual, and of special interest to Wrinklies.

Tal, I've seen a lot of wobbly wrinklies in Florida, and I include myself in that.

I read the same thing about Judy Dench. We particularily like her and remember her from several British TV sitcoms. Good movie, only because of her !

I saw the movie a few days ago, and I quite enjoyed it. Nice to see a movie featuring mature characters.
