My hubby and I saw this movie last night and BOTH really enjoyed it. Although the book was much better, the movie is still worth seeing.

I was a little disappointed in the movie. It dragged in some places but the scenery was beautiful in Italy and Bali. Julia Roberts is always charming and Javier Bardine (?) is a total "Hunk"! I'm going to read the book now.

I have always found the books more interesting and can convey ideas and thoughts that no movies can. If they made movies that actually followed the book, the movies would be five or six hours long.

For example, none of the Bourne Trilogy movies follows the books. It was very disappointing.

Too bad if you are not a reader. You miss a lot.

And all the books are free at the library.

Default The movie Eat, Pray, Love...

...makes me want to read the book at some point.

I saw it this afternoon during the storms. The theater it was in was about 10% male and 90% women. Perhaps 5 men and 45 women in the auditorium if not more women.

The Rome and Naples scenery was pretty.

My wife and I have this running contest. Everytime there is absolutely ANY movie with Julia Roberts in it and the commercial or trailer is shown, I tell her I guarantee her that there will be a scene where Roberts opens her huge mouth as wide as possible and laughs in what has become her trademark for some reason.

I have never lost this contest.
