Has not been released yet on DVD in the US. It only had a very limited opening in theaters in the US in 2008. http://ec2-174-129-253-143.compute-1...=flyboys08.htm

Not sure why it did not find a market. Supposedly it had done well at various film festivals in Arizona, Nebraska and New Jersey. http://www.filmmakers.com/news/film_...cle_1055.shtml
Check 2008-- http://www.omahafilmfestival.org/archive.html

I saw a movie trailer of Fly Boys last night at Lake Sumter Landing and it looks exciting. It should be a good clean family movie.

It is kind of an odd duck of a movie with respect to being a family movie. There's the stereotypical Italian gangsters, bullies, and some violence thrown into a buddy movie. I enjoyed it but can understand why Hollywood did not pick it up for wider distribution. It is hard to market a movie that goes in two directions like this-- a violent action movie and a boys' coming of age flick.
