Default Footloose

I went to see Footloose because I love dancing and musicals however was disappointed. Could have used more dancing in the movie. it's a movie you could miss and not be too disappointed. sunsetgal

Took my 13 year old great nephew this past Saturday. He loved it. I thought the original was much better. Of course there is a small (ha) age difference between us, so that might have something to do with the difference in opinion.

The original seemed a bit dated but really enjoyed the music and dancing in it. There was not really that much dancing in the 1984 movie but it is about a town which bans dancing after some teens are killed in a car crash. So, not much dancing makes sense.

Funny to see a very young Sarah Jessica Parker in a supporting role as one of the galpals of the heroine.

I will probably wait for the 2011 Footloose to come out on DVD.

I remember the original from the 80's and I did want to see the new one. I'm not a fan of re-makes, but I think I'll give this one a chance.
