Default Harry Brown.

Very good movie about a pensioner (retiree) in English projects taking the law in his own hands. Stars Michael Caine as Harry Brown a former Royal Marine.

Glad to hear that you liked Harry Brown too. Michael Caine is usually a very good actor.

+1 I enjoyed it very much but it still was not as good as Grand Torino, which they compare it to.

I thought that they were completely different stories. I did not understand why they tried to compare the two. In Grand Torino, Clint Eastwood was a crusty old racist stuck in his ways until they befriended him and he changed. In Harry Brown, he was a friend of the victim. I compared Harry Brown more to the first of the Death Wish series.

Saw this on English TV in early spring I think (?)
A very good film for Michael Caine. Sadly these develpoments where they lived are even worse than shown on screen!!
Most of the kids have never had or never will work. The get too much money from the state!!

It has got worse in the past 15 years. Every day on the news we hear of another child being knifed to death. The schools went back this week, so we know the gangs will be back at work. It is so sad, kids killing kids.
We see a lost generation here now, the parents live off statw benefits so the kids see this and think it is the done thing. They have no asspirations. There is a child in Poole who had her first child at the age of 12, her younger sister thought this was a great idea, and she now has one. The state just give them a free apartment!!!
Sorry for the rant
