Island in the Sky.

Interesting John Wayne movie from 1953 about a military air transport crash in unchartered territory in northeastern Canada during WWII. A lot of the scenes about survival in extremely frigid weather were unbelievable though. It did make up for this in other parts.

Had never heard of this movie before seeing a trailer for it in John Wayne's True Grit as rights to show it seemed to be bogged down in the Wayne estate for decades.

Look for some actors who become big after this through TV like Touch Connors, Fess Parker, James Arness, etc.
