Some people just want to find anything they can to tear this country down and turn all the great things we have done into negatives. Unfortunately, there is a lot of hate out there.
The book explains the real issues in America in much greater detail. Lincoln genius was in getting others to see the reality of what he was suggesting was the right thing to do.

The part of the book I found fascinating is how some of the people in his cabinet thought they were more fit to be President and initilly looked down on him. After interfacing with Lincoln, they came to realize he was much superior to them.

Great book is "Team of Rivals", by Doris Kearns Goodwin.

But what happened to all the Vampires Lincoln hunted and killed. They never mentioned them in this movie.......oh we'll, guess they just ran out time during the filming.

I guess some moviemakers are running out of storylines.

That's from the same writer who gave us-- Pride and Prejudice and Zombies - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Great movie. And I believe pretty accurate. But who am I to say. I wan't there.
Y'know, I just hate when people give away the ending.

I heard Lincoln's last words were, "how did the play end".

Lincoln was a great man and is still revelant. Amazing.

BTW - Lincoln has seen the play, "Our American Cousin", several times and preferred not to go to the theater that night. If only he had stayed home.

Good movie. Should get some Academy Awards would be my prediction even if I have not seen many of the other major contenders yet.

Once the nominations are out we will see how good some of the TOTVers are with Oscar predicions. The Numbers.Com has an annual AA contest on who can predict the most Oscar winners. http://www.the-numbers.com/interacti...r_rankings.php
