We saw it over the weekend and thought it was great. Don't understand why the critics are so down on it
Very entertaining. The visuals were stunning. The special effects were amazing. And the humor brought many laughs.
Best of all.....Jonny Depp was Johnny Depp.
Liked it so much I just might go again.

We saw it last week and really enjoyed it. I loved the show when I was a kid and honestly when the William Tell Overture started I wanted to get up and cheer. I enjoyed how the story was told and visually I thought it was stunning. I absolutely recommend it and don't pay attention to the critics.

The only thing that I didn't like was the device where a statue of Tonto comes alive to tell the story to a little kid at a 1933 carnival. That was a bit over the top for me. The rest however I thought was fantastic. Some of the audience members clapped at the end when he shouted "Hi Ho Silver, Away!"
Pam went and saw it this weekend and loved it. I should have gone with her.

I'll take Clayton Moore and Jay Silverhills which is more believable and less special effects. I'm suprised they didn't put a cape on the Lone Ranger and Tonto and have them fly away.
It's definitely not a tradition western. I don't usually like those kinds of special effects either, but they were somehow incorporated in a way that I didn't mind.

BTW, isn't it Jay Silverheels?

Cherie and I were part of this group. I laughed all the way through the movie. I enjoyed it very much. Thanks Zoomie1955 for organizing a great outing.

My husband and I saw it yesterday----we both thoroughly enjoyed it! Johnny Depp is wonderful as Tonto! Probably no more than 30 people in theater but everyone laughed and seemed to be enjoying it as much a we were.

Just never thought the Lone Ranger would be a comedy, and a bad one at that. I did laugh a few times but all in all the reviews it got were justified.
