This HBO series comes out on DVD on November 2, 2010. A small part of it came out a few months ago, but the rest of it arrives on November 2, 2010.

Some of it was too grisly for me to even watch and that is saying quite a lot given the special effects race in movies and TV with just how far some productions have become in blood and guts. Did not care for some of the characters in this series as much as the WWII European theater of war set series Band of Brothers.

Thanks for the reminder. I just placed an order for a Christmas gift for my nephew. The books the series was based on are an excellent read too.

The books seemed quite different than the HBO series The Pacific. Different facts and people emphasized from book to TV show.
