The DVD/ Blu Ray has a release date.
Just saw it at the Barnstorm Theater in 3-D. Excellent movie. I may see it a few more times before it leaves the Villages. Well worth the line and the theater was only about 1/2 full at the 1:30 PM showing but had a longer line went I went out for the 4:30 PM one.

May the Force Be With You.

Saw it again on a rainy day. What fun!!! May have to see it one more time in 3D before it leaves. I have heard of people seeing this movie four times or more.

Wife and I just saw it in 2D. Don't think we could have sat through 3D. Thought the story was OK. They did a good job of knitting the old characters & story into the new one. However, as a former aerospace engineer, I doubt that the Millennium Falcon could have survived that many crash landings and still flown again. Oh wait, it's just a movie.

It should be out around April. This is one I might buy. Pity that One Blood is not giving $10 to $20 gift cards-- which you could select as Barnes & Noble-- any longer but has gone to a 5 gallon gifting schedule. Very good for platelet givers but not too good for people going every 56 days or so. I often would use these gift cards to get DVDs from Barnes & Noble.

Sadly, I was sorely disappointed. One thing that made Star Wars by Lucas so special was the humor and the obvious joy the actors showed. Neither of this was evident this time to me. The actors did their job but really didn't seem to be having fun except for Linda Hunt and I think she always enjoys her craft. The humor was, at best, inadvertent. The only character I truly felt any empathy for was Chewie and that was probably because he was always my favorite character. Disney should stick with animated princess stories and leave SciFi for the big boys.

To each his or her own. I loved this Star Wars movie. May have to see it a third time before it leaves the Villages' theaters. Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens*(2015) - Rotten Tomatoes

Director JJ Abrams was tough on his actors in this movies which may explain some lack of some of them seeming to enjoy their roles. A few of these actors are newcomers and that must be quite a challenge to meet expectations when cast in such a potential blockbuster which also has a huge fan base.

I am really enjoying all the little details in the Star Wars: Episode VII- The Force Awakens DVD/Blu Ray.
