Default 'Up in the Air' and 'Nine'

We saw both of these yesterday. We weren't crazy about either of them.

The best thing in 'Up...' is how gorgeous George Clooney looks, but the story really didn't have much impact, and was sort of a downer and a slow mover.

'Nine' was just ok; the best part of it was seeing the fabulous Sophia Loren; forever a diva at any age! The dancing, costumes, and some of the music were good, some of it was great, as was the scenery of wonderful Italy. But, the overall theme I found sad and pessimistic. Men will like how gorgeous the women dancers and actresses were, including Nicole Kidman - and who knew she could sing?! - and Kate Hudson, Penelope Cruz, and others.

Yes men will like it. Fergie didn't even get credits but she is awesome. And Sophia...hmmmm.

Default up and away...

NO, not up and away...........up in the air....

No, it was really insightful I thought......the young girl against the older man,
the boyfriend break-up, Clooney working way to much to notice something
other than work.....all the things he missed in life becaus of "the job."

Just another way of looking at it

Clooney is adorable at any age LOL.....now Robert Redford........

Nicole Kidman sang in "Moulin Rouge" a few years back. I am excited to go and see "Nine". I am a big musical fan, and love that they are making Broadway musicals into movies.

My thoughts exactly. I really liked this movie - I was expecting something fairly light, but it had an emotional impact and was thought provoking.

I really enjoyed "Up in the Air". While it could have been a formulaic Hollywood movie with a predictable ending it chose not to be. It was a good mix of humor and pathos.

I enjoyed "Up In The Air" and thought it was very well acted. I always like to see a George Clooney movie. But don't go to see it if you're looking for an uplifting comedy.

"Everything's Fine" was enjoyable light entertainment, but very predictable.

I saw ten minutes of "Old Dogs" and that was way too much.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new Meryl Streep movie "It's Complicated". Everyone seems to love it.

Before I go to see a movie, I always check ratings on rottentomatoes.

Default nothing special...

I agree this movie is not deep or emotional, but light...sometime with sense of humor and George Clooney is still handsome...at least I did not get bored!

Hubby and I both really enjoyed Up In The Air, it was a lot better than what I expected. Little bit disappointed with the ending though.
