I've created my own song list from my library....consists of classic rock, alternative/punk, kick-ass classical, etc. I go from Led Zeppelin to Frank Zappa, Peter Gabriel, Sting, Antonin Dvorak in an afternoon....my go to is Peter Gabriel "Secret World Live" and Sting "Live in Berlin"...both phenomenal!!! Also check out anything from Seal

That reminds me, in the early to mid 80's I belonged to FOPG (Friends of Peter Gabriel), his UK fan club. I had to mail a 5 pound note every year for membership to the UK and they sent me a newsletter about 4 times a year. I've seen him twice in concert, '86 and '93, you could say I was a big fan. I had every record of his his, 12" singles and picture sleeve singles, even his 3rd and 4th albums from '80 and '82 both the America and the German pressing which he sang the songs in German, very neat.

Kind of fell out of favor with him the last few years, I guess like so many others, when everyone else likes them and they became mainstream I move on. It started with the So album and the song and video to Sledgehammer. He still makes good songs, but I'm not as dedicated.

For the live album, I like his stuff from early 80's era, when Peter Gabriel Plays Live came out in '83 I played that album every night for over a year. I was hooked you could say. The US CD was only on one disc and only had 12 tracks, the double album has 16 tracks, I guess in America they figured we were not into him enough to spring for a double CD. Check out that CD is you haven't already.



Here is all 16 songs from Pete Gabriel Plays Live '83 on youtube. This is when he was really into the African sound and Shock the Monkey was his big hit.

I went to the link and it said in the menu next to your playlist click share, I already had those on share, I don't know why you can't see them unless you're not logged in maybe?

There is a share selection on the videos themselves, not the whole list, and I use that a lot on other music websites, you can link the video directly and it's shown as a image with the play triangle in the middle. For some reason, that doesn't work on this website.

We almost always listen to current pop. On Sirius it’s 2 (New Yotk) or 11 (KISS Los Angeles). I was a music major in college and love classical and many music styles; but my whole life I’ve followed current pop. I never wanted there to be decades of music that I had no knowledge of. It seems that many people are of the opinion that it’s only for young folks, and is all rap. However, much current pop has great musicality, and relatable lyrics.

I wish we had some offerings of this in The Villages, and plan to start a club night of current pop in the future when covid restrictions are over.

You would really like Petrina, unfortunately she hasn't played the squares for at least 5 years. When we moved here in 2011 we would see her about once a month. She moved here from England about 15 years ago and lived with her mother. Since then, I believe she's gotten married and still lives in TV.

I believe now she plays only the country clubs, Waterfront Hotel, private parties, driveway parties and smaller groups like that. I remember when I first saw her, she sang a lot of Adelle, and this was before anyone heard of Adelle. Anything new or old pop she'll sing and she's a great entertainer.
