I go to a gym outside of the Villages, so there are lots of young people there. From time to time, the music they play on the system is our music. Today they were playing The Beatles and The Beach Boys. Most of the people in there were under 35.

I'm curious why rock and rolls is holding up like that. With the exception of some big band stuff, I'm not a fan of the music that came before me. Like, "The Shrimp Boats are Coming" and "How much is that Doggie in the window?" That stuff is never played in public. Rock and Roll is different though.

Interesting observation. I do love much of the music from before my time. However, I didn't when I was growing up. My nieces and nephews from pre-teens to 30-somethings all love the rock music of I grew up with. In fact, most of them say it's their favorite music.
