Little David is starting to be a little too cute, almost smarmy. But I think the teeny boppers (are they still called that?) will continue to love him. Kristy definitely need to go home. I think Jason is a dark horse and might surprise everyone. Michael Johns is definitely yummy.

Really surprised by Carly Smithson being in the bottom three last night.

Have to factor in the tattoos on her and her husband I guess? If they keep showing her husband's various facial tattoos while he is in the audience cheering her on this may cost her votes. I do not think America is ready for facial tattoos. http://www.pacificnews.org/jinn/stor...7-tattoos.html

Wow! I was really caught off guard with Carly sitting in the bottom 3. Thank goodness she made it.

Tal: I think you are right about Amanda, America is not ready for the tattoos, hers or her husbands. That then concerns me with Carly, cause she has one upper arm completely done. Her voice may be the ticket to carry her through.

That leaves Kristy, she is hanging on by a thread, one can only hope.

Barefoot is right David A is getting just a bit to cute. However, remember Jordan Sparks , she was accused of being to cute and look what happened.

Last of all Brooke White, great voice but totally lacking in stage presence, she could be a contender with some coaching.

I just wish Dancing WTS and AI weren't on at the same time. I might have a nervous breakdown switching channels. evil6

The Villages Florida :edit:

I can't believe that Kristy made the top ten and Amanda was cut. That means Kristy will be on tour with them. :verymad:

Anyway, I can't wait to see how they work with their mentors. Have great people this year. Guess David A. is still in the lead. Oh well, I always knew Amanda wouldn't win anyway, but I wish she had lasted a few more weeks. > Still love watching Michael Johns! :-*

Did not realize that Amanda Overmyer would be out of the Top Ten American Idol tour. Thought it was the Top 12 that toured. Guess I am wrong on that score.

Think Overmyer's choice of song of "Back in the USSR" hurt her as some people might have thought that this really meant she wanted to be back in the USSR.

Top 10 tour. I can imagine that some may wish that they didn't make the top 10 if all they get is the drudgery of that tour. Most would have to lose their day job if they had one. Amanda is a nurse - she's probably happy to be off the show at this point - she wasn't going to have a career in singing - IMHO.

You see some of these people reliving their past glories on rewind shows of AI. They seem to have paid positions --some of them-- from which to do this.

Wow another boring night for Idol.

The real star tonight was David Cook, he took a great song and made it his own. Clever guy and on his way to stardom.

Brooke made a great save with the restart and actually got a compliment from Simon!!!!!

All the other performances were awful. Just MHO

I didn't like David Cook at first, but I really loved his performance tonight. He seems to be getting better every week. Still like Michael Johns, he's a cutie! David is starting to sound like everythings the same to me. Don't know if he'll win anymore. Still could do withough Chikeeze and Kristy goes without saying. (But, she was tolerable tonight.) Maybe it's because I like that song. :dontknow:

As i mentioned earlier - David Cook will have a career from this even if he doesn't win. I think Michael Johns will suffer once he runs out of Queen songs, has sex appeal only. Carly wasn't great and may be bottom three again. David A. was the same and that is a problem - always the same, not sure what kind of career he could have. This may influnce the judges to start putting him down enough that America gets tired of him.

David Cook did a fabulous job with his remake of Billie Jean. That was smokin!

Bottom three tonight? Chikezie , Ramiele Malubay and Kristy Lee Cook??

Kristy Lee Cook's smart song choice will probably save her this week. She did a good job with it.

Kind of expect Chikezie will be out tonight?

Do not understand the appeal of Jason Castro but expect he will be with AI for a few more weeks.

Tal: Chic magnetic is Jason's appeal, especially with those drop dead gorgeous eyes, but he is a boring songster.

I agree Chikezie is gone tonight, Ramiele will get a pass cause she was ill, and Kristy will coast on a good song choice.
