Fear not my friend, many of us are out there and I think/hope the Entertainment dept is finally listening because I was introduced to new Classic Rock band (not that overplayed Paul V stuff, Rocky and the rollers etc) But REAL CLASSIC ROCK, Pink Floyd, The Who, and yes LED Zepplin. My friends took me to Spanish Springs square last Sat night and
a truly fresh rocking band called Uncle Bob's Rock Shop was there. These guys were tremendous.

I agree with EJP52...more Classic Rock, less "formula" bands playing the same old songs every night in the Square. Seen Rocky and The Rollers you've seen them all. Do they copy each other's song list?

I don't think t is the Entertainment Dept's fault, RokinRonda. I have seen other bands not play any of the same tunes and draw great crowds too; but I think that the entertainment office uses one agent who controls much of what is booked and agents always think they know what is right. In NY, agents instruct bands how to look and dress, how many members (usually 1 girl singer) and what to play-giving them actual song lists, until they have 10-12 cloned bands out there which works when you're talking a big place like NY but in the Villages....It's really sad because variety is so much better. There's 7 nights a week at 2 squares, there should be something for everyone. And if the band doesn't even look like they are having fun, how can the crowd.
Rocky and the Rollers have some excellent musicians, too bad they can't "break free' occasionally.

Default There's Room for ALL Varieties of Music

There's 2 town squares, more coming, Katie Belles, Savannah Center, Church on the Square.....plenty venues and 7 nights a week.....and a lot of really good musicians. We need to tell the entertainment dept to
rotate not just the same bands but Musical Styles

Uncle Bob's Rock Shop (classic rock)
Country
Jazz / Swing-Lenny Wilson
Big Band
Rocky and The Rollers
Cactus Jack
Donna Moore
Mary Jo Vitalle (Show tunes and Opera)
