Gin Wigmore - Black Sheep - YouTube

She sure has a great voice! Gin Wigmore's work shows up in various advertisements and shows like Revenge.

Oh my God! That was simply horrible. Another girl singer with a nasally, whining voice.

That is what popular music is coming to, huh? What would Simon Cowell say about that "voice"?

Gin Wigmore "Man Like That" Live Performance - YouTube

Cowell would probably regret that this New Zealand singer is not one of his many cogs in his mutli-national Idol machine. She lost to Australian Idol winner Stan Walker in the New Zealand Music Awards of 2010 in the People's Choice category.

Here's her voice in a Lowe's commercial which I remember playing in the Villages-- http://youtu.be/N2zmt77BzUQ

Don't particularly car for her sound. But, then again, I didn't particularly care for The Beatles back in the 60's either. Time changes things.

Gin Wigmore does seem to be gradually getting much more of a presence on the US music scene. Still have not heard any of her songs on Orlando area radio stations, however. She did appear on Ellen about 6 months ago-- http://www.morefm.co.nz/Gin-Wigmore-...5/Default.aspx

If I have to chose between Gin Wigmore or the Chinese National Anthem heard in the Villages in 2042, I'd pick Wigmore.

Simon Cowell could be rich enough, however, that by 2042 that he could be picking the anthems in various places like the Villages.

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes...yeah,yeah, yeah! It's all about the era you grew up in, or what you were exposed to! The people moving to TV are getting younger and the music that is popular now, oldies (50s 60s) and doo-wop will not be so popular.
