Default Billy Bob Thorton sure has had a strange movie career since Sling Blade.

Sling Blade - Rotten Tomatoes

It is good to see Billy Bob Thornton in such a role that seems to suit him so well. This performance is up there with his in Sling Blade. I will bet this show gets a lot of Emmy nominations.

Thanks "T" for the link. We've been hanging on but sometimes after it's over we just look at each other and chuckle cause we don't have the slightest idea what happened or why.

That duo from MadTV can act.
Vegas in it's 2014 splendor compared to 30 years ago is something you can't describe in all fairness. We've been many times over the last 15 years and watched in amazement as it continued to grow into what it is today. We now go for an upscale relaxing vacation and gambling is something we do if we don't have shows lined up. If you have the opportunity to revisit I don't think you'll be sorry.

Thanks. I know a University of Minnesota Law School fellow Class of 1989 alumni who was also the roommate of my first real flame Jennifer V. (U of MN Law Class of 1990) She visited Las Vegas around 1989 and decided to stay there. Or, soon moved there. She has been a judge in Clark County for quite some time. She was in the same group (A) of 50 in the First Year Law School Class of 250 or so. I knew her fairly well.

I see she's still there in Las Vegas.

Maybe, I did not put her too much off Nevada with my various stories.

Kathy Griffin named host of 2014 Daytime Emmys | Inside TV | EW.com

Looks like the Emmys is on June 22, 2014 and is not on TV.

Fargo has some very tough competition this year. And some of the episodes do not qualify for the 2014 Emmy cut-off airing date of May 31, 2014.

I thought that the "Daytime Emmys" were for soap operas and such.

Fargo might have had a chance against some of these soaps.

What a great TV show. I'll be very surprised if there isn't a follow-on. Another great limited run TV show, True Detective on HBO, is already in pre-production for season 2. I think you'll see more and more limited production TV shows with well known actors/actresses who don't want to commit to a long term TV show.

I was disappointed in the finale. Thought it would be more "over the top" instead of so predictable. Series as a whole was very good.....should have put more into the end.
What about the grocery king? He was never seen again after her returned the money! Feel like that thread was left hanging.

Default How people in Bemidji view Fargo.

Bemidji goes Hollywood in

The accents do seem quite over-the-top. Very few of the native Minnesotans I ran into my five years around the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus talked like that.

I will miss Fargo but now there is the next season of Bridge. I only spent about two days total in El Paso so not much looks familiar. Most of this was at the University of Texas at El Paso Library back around 2003. They were looking for a Law Librarian and paid to fly me out from Tampa. I kind of blew the lecture I was supposed to give being way too nervous and getting little sleep the night before. Nice people there at that Library back around 2003. And, it seemed like someone was pulling strings to get me back in the game after my very long hiatus from working in an actual library rather than just fighting for survivors/victims rights through any means available. Never did find out who was pulling strings on my behalf.

Funny that El Paso has such a low crime rate while just across the Bridge.... http://www.elpasotimes.com/news/ci_2...s-families-and

I was a bit disappointed in the ending as well. and what was the whole adopted African child thing about? that never developed into anything. still, all in all, a great series.
