Never understood why so many shows have to play music at all.

I often have trouble hearing and understanding the conversation when background music is playing.

And for the last few minutes of many shows they have no dialogue just music. Never saw the point.

Riann Steele - Rotten Tomatoes

I will have to check out her performance in Turn: Washington's Spies. Turn is a fascinating show.

Speaking of Turn, it looks interesting to me, but the first season gets mediocre reviews at best. Then the subsequent seasons get very good reviews. Do you think I should still start with the first season? Or is skipping it and starting with season two something to consider?

I watched mid 2nd season first and started going back and forth. There are some significant plot developments throughout the Turn series that you'll need to know about to follow the story line though.
