Good morning,

I finished watching Gold Digger.

Now, I have a question for you. Did you trust that guy?

(I tried to look up whether there would be a second season but so far I can’t find any definite plan for that.)

I did not trust him. Maybe I am just being cynical in my interpretation. But 30 years sure seems to be 99% about the money. We most often see that kind of age difference with men being the older one. And though I am all for equality — either way, that many years — ??$$$.

I think, near the end, there was something thrown in by the writers that alluded to a Freudian issue. But, even so, that just adds to the creep-factor.

Am I being unromantic?

Boomer
Hi Boomer: No I did not trust him. I think it is due to looking in the mirror and saying someone like that would not be interested in this. Now if all I was looking for was a qickie now and then yea I'd trust him, hell yes! I think my biggest fear would be having someone think he was my son ...............

Also, Boomer, her first husband had been very controlling and in the last episode Ben was becoming very controlling and over protective. I could never live with that. So no, I would not trust him at all.

I just finished watching the recently-released, fifth season of Rita on Netflix. I'm sorry that it's supposedly the last season.

Default Coming Soon To A Recliner At Your House

Remember Nurse Ratched from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest?

Netflix has a new show coming in mid-September. Ratched is the title. If you Google the title and Netflix, you will find the trailer. It’s worth a Google just to watch the trailer. It’s creepy even by itself.

They are calling it a prequel so I guess we are going to find out how that infamous nurse got her start. (shudder)

Edit: I did not watch this one. It had bad reviews when it came out, but mostly I chose not to because it looked like it would be too weird, gruesome, and creepy for me.

Spiral on Hulu, Fear the walking Dead, really don't watch any network television anymore. Too many good shows to stream.

Default Can’t teach an old dog. .

“New Tricks”

BBC on Amazon

Three brilliant detectives (old enough to have been living in TV for years) are called out of retirement to help solve cold cases. Each of the guys comes with his own baggage, quirks, and methods of detective work that get the job done, sometimes crossing the line — just a little.

This show is smart, funny, gives you a murder to solve, and no gore.

We are binge-watching right now — up to episode 4.

A couple of months back Youtube TV added on about $15 to the monthly bill and added 5 channels that I didn't need and don't want. Still a good deal at $65 a month.

Today they took away one Fox Sports Channel. It happened to be a Channel I really like. Not that I really care but where is the money back for losing a channel? Just an observation. Let's see how fair they are going to be now.

We got addicted to Man Hunt with Martin Clunes AKA Doc Martin. Watched the first three episodes on Acorn. Then it disappeared. It is now available on Prime but you have to buy each episode to finish watching the rest of the episodes. Annoying.

My son highly recommended this show and we watched the first two episodes last night. He recommended it for the photography. It is set in the late 1940s and the cars, clothing, and scenery of the northern California coast are filmed in brilliant, almost startling, color.

I may turn it on from time to time, mute the sound, and glance at it to take in the setting. But at this point, the story line is exaggerated and all those things you said, mainly creepy.

Madelaine Amee, I love this post and all the responses! I have been following it and been taking notes. :-)

Netflix-Enola Holmes (who is played by Millie Bobby Brown, from Stranger Things)

Apple TV+ - Ted Lasso. The character in this series, American college football coach Ted Lasso, is recruited to coach an English Premier League team, AFC Richmond, despite having no experience in association football. It is worth the time.

Thank you ................. but, I cannot take the credit for this thread because Boomer has given us some greatt programs to watch. We are all limited to who we purchase as our provider, so unfortunately I am missing Netflex and Apple and Hulu, but there is so much available.

I actually find some great programs through You Tube, it takes some time to wade through everything on there, but I am watching a couple of archeological programs that I love, they are great fo filling a half hour slot.

I do think Streaming is going to become much more expensive, but the content is so extensive compared to cable that it is hard to argue with the cost. My husband watched an old John Wayne last night for 99cebts ,,,, cannot beat that.

Started “Schitts Creek” last night, watching the first four episodes. If you liked Eugene Levy and Catherine OHara in Christopher Guests movies, you will probably like this. A bonus is Chris Elliott as the mayor of Schitts Creek. This series recently garnered every award it was nominated for in at the Emmy Awards.
