I just stumbled across a South Korean TV series called "Signal" on Netflix. Although the premise isn't something I usually go for...a found walkie talkie allows a detective profiler from 2015 to communicate with one in the past, I noticed it received best drama awards and best actress awards in it's country so I gave it a try. I think it's excellent...very suspenseful and despite using sub-titles I've grown very involved with the characters.

Watched the first episode of Rome yesterday on Prime video and enjoyed it but very disappointed that it was the only free episode being offered.

I watched the newest episode of The Silk Road last night on BBC and thought it was excellent. I cannot get the rest of the series unless I pay for Curiosity Streaming which I am more than willing to do, but before doing so need some imput from other watching Curiosity.

I can buy regular for about $20 per year, but they are offering 4H for almost $60 per year. What is the difference and is it worth it?

Thanks.

Madelaine Amee,

Thank you for this thread.

Last night we started watching “Gold Digger” on Acorn. Two episodes in.

Mr. Boomer did not like it.

I am intrigued. Who is this guy? (I thought about begging you to tell me. I am so curious and it looks like it will be a while before I can find out. But I will keep watching.)

Are you asking what service we are using .... I am on Xfinity or Comcast. So far, so good.

I am totally hooked on streaming. I absolutely love Curiosity site and I usually watch that during my down time in the mid afternoon. I like court room drama during my evening watching.

I went from having nothing to watch on cable to having too many choices now.

Check out the netflix production "Game Changer". As a life long carnivore it makes me take pause and think about the possibility of changing my diet going forward. I just watched it and have not made any changes yet, just thinking about it.

I too dropped cable/HBO use Neflix, Amazon, free streaming Cinema, Typhoon, Cat Mouse for TV shows (without commercials) and current movies. Movies are available within 30 days of theater showings sometimes sooner. For TV and locals Orlando we use NvisionTV. We went thru Comcast/Direct and Dish Network years ago because all they have in common is price increases.

This question is for Madelaine Amee — and for anyone else who watched Gold Digger.

Good morning,

I finished watching Gold Digger.

Now, I have a question for you. Did you trust that guy?

(I tried to look up whether there would be a second season but so far I can’t find any definite plan for that.)

I did not trust him. Maybe I am just being cynical in my interpretation. But 30 years sure seems to be 99% about the money. We most often see that kind of age difference with men being the older one. And though I am all for equality — either way, that many years — ??$$$.

I think, near the end, there was something thrown in by the writers that alluded to a Freudian issue. But, even so, that just adds to the creep-factor.

Am I being unromantic?

Boomer
