This I'm assuming because of his political views.
I watch movies because they are good, I do not restrict myself because any actor in the project does not agree with my views.
You do realize he is not going to know if you are watching something he is in or not and are just depriving yourself.
Whether he knows or not the better his movies do the better for him. Therefore why should I pay to see one of his movies putting money in his pocket and in effect supporting his views which we take exception too.

Lots of ways to entertain ourselves, not the end of the world to skip his shows.

Why does anyone pay any attention at all to what an actor says? I watch a movie for the characters in the movie, not the actors portraying them.

You don't like what he says? Don't support his causes.
You aren't going to pay to see one of his movies so you don't put money in his pocket? The possibly hundreds of others whose income depends on that film certainly won't thank you for taking money out of their pockets because of your political views.

Basically, I HATE to know ANYTHING about the actors in movies that I watch. For example, I liked "The Expanse" and I did NOT recognize any actors in that series. Robert De Nero has been in many good movies and some very mediocre movies. Rotten Tomatoes gave "Zero Day" a marginal rating. I will watch it, but I would be surprised if it is GREAT.

Saw everything he ever did before he went off the deep end anyway.
De Nero did NOT change. The audience did.

Ted’s wife speaking here: I do not watch his films or TV shows any longer. Same with Alex Baldwin (and I really loved him in The Hunt for Red October)

I find both of them to be so filled with anger and divisive language in general that they tend to be more of a distraction than attraction to their body of work. Before I offend too many, I will state that I fall into the category of people that will not allow “actors” to be my go to for information or how to think. Of course I feel the same about the “news/media”. I still have anger to the News Anchor that once said in a commercial, (summarized) “we don’t need to figure out the news and what it means - WE will tell you”!

That does work both ways. But I don't really care about what actor has what opinions unless they are criminal in nature. Then I would stop going to his or her movies.

I would certainly say that it was relevant and accurate for today which is why it was so scary! I can see this really happening and found it extremely thought provoking. Society relies on technology today in all aspects of our lives. Hacking the systems can (and God forbid, someday will) be catastrophic. The ship has sailed and we aren’t going back to the way things were done in the past. I can only imagine the chaos that can be caused by computer hackers and Zero Day certainly brought that horrific possibility to light. Wars don’t need to be fought with guns anymore but with the stroke of a key. I binge watched and thought it was well done. I may never sleep again.
