Gotta wonder what caused the sudden burst. Do you suppose some group assigned people to read every post?

Hope there will be another spike in February.

At 15,000 per day for February 2008, we will only have 435,000 page views; 16,000 per day would be 464,000. That's a little over the record for January 2008 of 463336.

Would need some spikes as well as fairly heavy usage to set a new page view record in February of 2008.

It is still cold in NY State, Ohio, Minnesota, Wisconsin, etc. so maybe we have a shot.

Good morning, Tal,

I see you may share my theory on the inverse relationship between the weather in other parts of the country and the hits on TOTV.

Even as we speak - uh - write, I am listening to a couple of different versions of "Baby, It's Cold Outside" that I downloaded onto my iPod.

I have never said anything about which state I'm in - well, not the geographic state - but it is, in fact, one of the above. February can be our snowiest month of all. There have been a few Valentine Days when we have been snowed in.

It seems like you are a stats man. Are you going to run the numbers on what happens to the hits during the Super Bowl Game tomorrow? Even I have accepted an inviation to a Super Bowl party, and I am completely sports impaired. I don't even know if Super Bowl is one word or two. But I will at least get to talk to people I can see. And the food is always great, and then there's the betting that we do. So, hey, I'm goin'.

My guess is the game will have an effect on the hits here.

Sure, think that the hits will be quite lower during the Superbowl on TOTV; same with the Academy Awards in February 24, 2008 if they are televised with the various stars doing their regular huge red carpet event thing.

Actually, the cold weather idea and its impact on TOTV hits of yours rubbed off on me a bit.

Not a huge impact made by the World Series on TOTV page views last Oct. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_World_Series. October 26, 2007 had a big drop off but that was midway through the WS on a travel and rest day. https://www.talkofthevillages.com/sm...p?action=stats

Page per view numbers per day have fallen the past few days. Wonder if that is related to the really nice weather we have had in TV these past few days????

Number to beat over only 30 days in April is 518028. https://www.talkofthevillages.com/sm...p?action=stats
