Hello TOTV community,

You may have noticed some slow page loading times and page time outs over the weekend. We wanted to send an update about what happened and how we are responding.

After investigation, we found that numerous AI bots were accessing the site at once to scan for content, which overloaded the server. We went ahead and placed some new measures in place that will limit the number of AI bots on the site at a time to prevent any future slowdowns.

As a reminder, this poses no security threat to the site or to our users as these bots are solely scanning for publicly available information, not personal details.

If you are still having any issues please feel free to contact us directly with the web browser you are using and screen shots of the issue. Thank you so much for all your patience and support as we managed this situation and we appreciate each and every one of you!

What is the contact e-mail info? Is it [email protected] or...?

Dam AI bots! Inquiring minds want to know, why did TOTV place measures to limit the number of AI bots instead of placing measures to completely eliminate the pesky cyber things? Does TOTV get fee revenue for allowing them to scan for publicly available information on the site?

Some sites consider them useful as a form of advertisement. One of the cooking sites I'm on track them as "spiders".

FBI couldn’t control an attack with massive losses of personal information.

Our info is minimal on TOTV, maybe bots are looking for the wealth of information on TOTV

My guess Moderators and Admin are reporting instances of site issues before many posters have the first cup of coffee.
