We always use Groome with home pickup. You need a service that is big enough to have backup in case of a driver or vehicle problem.

There are MANY that will offer you “a ride” but you need to consider that there are only a small handful of LEGITIMATE services who carry the required commercial insurance to LEGALLY transport passengers and who have the required airport permits.

Dave’s Airport Transportation is one of a handful (9 or so) LEGITIMATE businesses…. 352-223-4696

The others will give you a ride to the airport but they are not properly licensed or insured …. So, you are rolling the dice for the cheaper price ….

Good luck !

mytransportationtv.com is a reliable company, owned by residents of TV. We’ve used them many times, door to door. I don’t know if cost is based on number of passengers. You can get a quote on the web site.

No comparison between group transportation and private, you should never expect pricing to be the same, Groome makes money on volume, you cannot and should not expect a private service to compete on price.
Be prepared to spend more, if not make other arrangements

Dave is very reliable but unfortunately he has started a program where you have to pay a yearly fee to use his services. If you do this regularly it might pay but we do not travel as much as we used to so the pay to play will not work for us.

We've been using Dave's Airport Transportation for years now. Yes, we joined their members only program for the nominal fee that they credit back to you on your 6th one-way trip. Most of all, their limiting membership to a maximum 4,000 clients from the nearly 14K they had, so more availability.

They are always on-time, track our inbound flight, they are there everytime we've been delayed. We love their drivers as they have 27 vehicles and I think we've had about 13 of their drivers. Very professionally run company. Very first time we used them, my husband who a retired insurance agent asked to see their commercial insurance policy, they had no problem producing their policy each vehicle carries not like the others out there that don't carry it as it is required. Auto policy DOES NOT cover you, my husband would know since he did insurance for 40 years. On your exclusion page, it clearly states policy is null/void for commercial use for profit.

Call them, you won't be disappointed. 352-223-4696 "Dave's Airport Transportation"

Default Airport transportation

For New Year’s Eve trips, booking early is key since demand spikes. Private transport can often match or even beat standard shuttle prices, with added comfort and convenience. I’ve heard that services like Sal Limo Service Miami provide reliable rides to airports, making the experience luxurious and less stressful, especially during busy holiday travel.

I use to use Groome but last June when I booked home pickup they then drove me to Brownwood and transfered us to a Bus. The drop off for the bus is way at the far end of the airport so if you have mobility issues its a long walk to check in.

For three, use private transportation, but check re surcharges for (1) New Year's Eve, and (2) picking up from your area - we have to pay ours $10 more for being north of 466

Uber. $98.79. I assume that Price is cheaper or comparable than the per person Grome would charge. That price is picking you up at your door.

Certainly less stressful than waiting for a ride to arrive but, every time I've looked, the one-way drop-off charge has been exorbitant - more than the rental charge. I've only looked at the two companies in Spanish Springs and Lake Sumter landing, as getting to Leesburg to pick up would be a pain.

Also, how do the tolls work for a rental? I assume the car comes with a Pass, but do you get billed for the tolls when you drop off the vehicle?

Thank you

Groome has been reliable but the time involved door to door to either to or from Orlando has averaged 3 hours.

Agree. With home pick-up, Groome takes twice as long as private car/Uber

If you have an early flight, that can mean getting up before you go to bed (almost)
