Biloxi - Beau Rivage
I have seen a number of ads for Biloxi - the Beau Rivage Hotel/Casino. Has anyone ben there and would you recommend 2-3 nights there?? This hotel and entire area were hit fairly hard with the prior hurricanes and supposidly has been refurbished. This one ad has 3 days 2 nights by Jet from St Petersburg (1 hour flight as opposed to 7-8 hour drive one way)..included is RT transfers from the Villages, some casino chips and dinner one evening. Price is $300 per person.
What is there to do in BIloxi? |

Biloxi & The Mississippi Gulf Coast
There's a lot to see and do in Biloxi and surrounding area. I'm assuming you are interested in gambling and in addition to the Beau there are several other very nice casinos. Right next door to the Beau is the Hard Rock Hotel/Casino. In Gulfport, the next town to the west, is the Island View Hotel/Casino where Emeril Lagassee has opened a restaurant.
Biloxi is home to Beauvoir, The Jefferson Davis home. It was destroyed during Katrina but has been rebuilt and is once again open. It's a beautiful old home overlooking the Gulf. There's golf, fishing charters, beautiful white sand beaches, excellent restaurants, shops and art galleries, Katrina Memorial exhibits. To take in all the area has to offer you'd probably need a rental car at least for one day. We lived there for almost two years before we came to The Villages. I think it's a great area with a lot to offer. If it wasn't for Katrina, we'd still be there. If you decide to go, PM me and I'll give you some specific recommendations of things to see and do. Here's a website which will give you additional info: www.gulfcoast.org Last edited by English Ivy; 05-25-2009 at 11:42 AM. Reason: added website address |

I agree with English Ivy. There is also the Imperial Palace Casino and hotel that is great. These new casino hotels are not refurbished they are totally new and on land. Prior to Katrina casinos were on the water. The Beau, IP and Isle of View are tall and state of the art with good food and beautiful rooms. I enjoy the buffets and wandring around the Beau looking at the great shops inside and the outstanding floral displays. There is special handicaped parking available and/or valet parking. In the top of the Imperial Palace there is a restaurant that serves its own homemade ice cream that is the best ever.
