I won my 1st. cruise in 1995 for a sales contest I won at my job. They created a monster. LOL So much better down here being close to the ports.

Bonny.....i bet it is! We are hoping when we get down there to catch those last minute deals!
I would love to hear about the cruises you have taken and the places you have been.

What is your favorite cruise line? This might also be helpful to the op of this thread....which cruise line have you used the most? and why?

IF you dont want to answer here i would love to talk with you about it pm....
I recently booked a NCL cruise to Alaska...i am sure you have been with 58 under your belt! lol

I can see how a person could become a travel monster.....we work to vacation. I think that is one reason TV appeals to us...it seems to have a vacation vibe to it.

To the op i would say this....if you have never cruised before...I would recommend a 5 night cruise.....get your feet wet and see if it is your cup of tea. Cruising is not for everyone....I have a few friends that love cruising...unfortunately their husbands hate it. Their reasons differ...but they hate it none the less. I cannot imagine not loving to cruise....my question is WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE???? lol

Pick out an itinerary that fits your needs....and then choose the cruise line that best fits it. Check out the excursions...see if they offer what you want to see. If alcohol is important....check out the drink packages.

Right now many cruise lines are offering free drink packages with a booking...or free excursions...or even both.

We love to travel too. We also have 5 timeshares that we love.
We cruise Celebrity & Royal Caribbean. We've tried others, but these are our favorites. Beautiful ships, awesome food & service. The Allure of the Seas is our favorite ship. We actually did Alaska twice. It's so beautiful ! 1st time we did the cruise and 1 night in Anchorage. Later, when we had more money , we did the cruise and 5 night land tour. We've done all the big ones we are going to do. The Baltic, the Mediterranean, Panama Canal, Alaska & Mexican Riviera. We never cruised Hawaii because we stay there alot with our timeshares. Never going to China or Australia. Too far to fly. LOL
Looking forward to you coming here. You will love it ! Wonderful people here.

Try Windstar or Crystal, they have smaller ships and are very nice.

check with the AAA office off 441, or probably any of them in the villages. they have several cruises set up for Villages, and I thought 2 around that timeframe with some of the town square entertainers (Rocky & the Rolllers, etc) entertaining on the cruise. They may all be filled at this point, but I would start with them....also an excellent way to meet new Villagers
