My wife and I are coming for our second Lifestyle Preview Visit January 25 for a week. After that we have a week to kill before a two week stay at our timeshare in Orlando. We plan to travel around Florida for that week to get a feel for things and to make sure The Villages is for us (is there any doubt?). My question is: since we have no agenda thus no hotel reservations, what is the availability of hotel rooms for single night stays in Florida this time of year? Here in Michigan in the summer it can get iffy. Thanks in advance for any info. We are really looking forward to this second visit because our first visit was in 2003 and we had no idea what we were doing. A couple rounds at two executive courses, a trolley ride, a movie, and lots of eating all on Village dollars. No golf cart then except when I picked one up at Glenview to take to El Santiago ( pedestrians were passing me). Thanks to all and Happy New Year.

It can be iffy here at this time of year. Your best bet is one of the hotel/travel sites. I use various sites but find AAA a pretty good source.

Not sure about the hotels, but just wanted to tell you we are from Jackson, MI We go to Lansing a lot when we are home in the summer.
