I would begin at Cafe DuMonde on Decatur Street for a beignet and chicory coffee then walk and tour the French Market at 2 French Market Place, just down the road from Cafe DuMonde. Circle back on Decatur and stop at the Central Grocery for their famous Muffalato sandwich, but share the sandwich with whomever you are with because it is huge.

We were in there in March before our cruise and the trolley was a great way to see a lot of things. You can hop on and off where ever you wanted an it was great. The people on the trolley are very knowledgeable. You see a lot in just a little bit of time.
