Default Globus Best of Italy

Has anyone taken the Globus 15 day Best of Italy trip?
I was planning on taking just my carry on suitcase and purse. But while reading the material they sent me it said not to bring the overhead wheeled carry on. What is with that?? I don't want checked luggage plus I am going alone so only myself to carry the luggage. I have read all about packing and bought a special suit case - the mother lode, just for this purpose, also bought the clothes line from Rick Steves travel site. Any tips you can give will be so appreciated.

If, you are taking a bus trip, then I believe that the reason they tell you not to bring an overhead wheeled suitcase, is because it does not fit into the overhead storage bin of the bus. They tell you that you can only put your purse and a small 11" x 12" x 6" carryall bag in the overhead storage. A wheeled suitcase will not fit.

However, if the wheeled suitcase (not to exceed 36" x 21" x 11" and not over 50 lbs) is your only suitcase....then the tour people will take care of your suitcase every morning and put it in the storage compartment under the bus. When you get to your next destination that night, they will take it to your room. You just can't get to it during the day, when it is on the bus.

My husband and I took a 21 day Globus tour of the British Ises. We took big suitcases not carry-ons. However, once we checked our baggage at the Orlando airport, we never touched our luggage again. It was delivered to our hotel room eery night and put on the bus every morning.

Thanks, DaleCrenshaw
Thats sounds reasonable and right. I am a worry wart and luggage is the most worrisome thing for me on trips. So this time I decided to go small and light. Thanks again
