Publix I read treats their fresh veggies with some process that isn’t that heathy, to help keep them looking fresh, longer.
Kroger on the other hand does not. Not sure about Sprouts. Sorry I don’t have the exact process, I saw an article some weeks ago about this. |

Was called Earth Fare, not Whole Foods. But pretty much the same concept.
