Don't know any of you yet but will when I get there in a couple of years or so; I love you anyway, even Sweetie. And I've really enjoyed the TOTV and learned so much about my new playground.
Hot damn. You are my kind of person. Will you be my friend???

The cookery section in my newspaper today, had the recipe for these potatoes, and the explanation for the name !
In the old days, when the baker had finished, the ladies of the village would take their meals to him to cook! They still do this in Morocco!!

Who would have thought potatoes would stimulate such interesting communication? I sure didn't. Let's see what we've covered:

1. a recipe
2. several definitions of Boulanger
3. new friendship (thanks Gracie, I am glad to become your friend)
4. history lesson on a french general and his horse
5. found out some of us are stupidoise while others are igmoranus (ignortantly anal).
6. and lots of interesting posts to read.

Thanks everyone for your input. I'll have to come up with a word I know nothing about and see where it goes. Ya'll have a great week in paradise while I sit here at my desk and imagine I am there.

The first thing on my list of things to do when we return to Paradise on or about October 10 is to see more of UU! P is always up in Atlanta when I am here, sigh

I also would love to have an open house for my TOTV buddies new and old.

Oh boy, here comes Tony the topicop. I am hijacked another thread!

Back to the subject:::

My mother used to make Lamb Boulanger that had potatoes and stringbeans in it. It was absolutely delicious, so much so, that I would make the Boulanger sauce and use it on veggies to give them that wonderful taste. I know a lot of people don't like the taste of lamb, but you could never tell it was lamb from her recipe. My mouth is watering... ummmmm...
