Thank God, finally, an inspiring list of the beautiful and tasty Thanksgiving ingredients that will make us feel good and contribute to our health and well-being! Sooooo tired of the warnings of potential gastronomic dangers. Kudos Gracie, and best holiday wishes to all!

Yes, it was always my favorite meal to prepare for guests because I didn't have to plan t he menu, and knew how to make all the favorite dishes. Variations were not appreciated by my family. One year I added a little rutabaga to the mashed potatoes, to give it a pretty color. They wouldn't eat it. Another time I forgot the creamed onions and my husband was bitterly disappointed (I think he was the only one who ate them). Always had to have two kinds of cranberry sauce. And always, by the time we ate, I couldn't taste anything.

I would have to learn push-aways, from the dinner table.

We cook the giblets for the kitties and use chicken thighs to flavor the dressing.

The sauté was then added to the bread along with other seasonings and then raw eggs were use to bind things together. No chicken stock used here. Man I would eat that stuff uncooked warm or cold. Mom would make the stuffing the night before and I was into it as soon as she was finished. My niece makes a close second but has cut a lot of corners and does not use the giblets or eggs. VG |
