My grandparents were from Kolomea, Poland. Grandma made the best perogies ever. They were made with potatoes that had schmaltz (chicken fat) and sautéed onions added to them. I've ordered Millie's, and they were good, but not as good as Grandmas (or the memory of them). Also, if I remember correctly, shipping costs for Mollies cost more than the perogies! The only ones that have come close were served at the LaGrange Street Polish Festival in Toledo, Ohio!

Default Farmer's Cheese

Saturday's at the Brownwood market and Thursday's at Spanish Springs there's a woman who calls herself "The Cheese Lady" and she has various kinds of cheeses, Farmer's Cheese included. We bought some last Saturday and it was just like we used to get in Amish Country in Ohio. Enjoy!
