Default Always drive your car defensively.....

Made a right turn out of the main entrance of Richmond -- heading South on Meggison Rd. Immediately coming out of the round-about I was staring down a car coming North on the inside lane of the two Southbound lanes!! Don't know how long she (who appeared to have paper directions in hand) had driven down the wrong side of the road, but fortunately she was getting ready to enter the round-about I just exited and, hopefully, exited on the proper side.

The moral of this story -- Alway drive defensively as you never know what you will encounter

Every day I see crazy, and/or stupid people on the roads. People still have no clue how to use the roundabouts.

My 2003 Acura has a wonderful feature - I can have both of my hands on the steering wheel and my right thumb can also be on the horn.

Any time I drive thru a shopping center like Lake Deaton or thru a roundabout, I always have my thumb on the horn so I can honk at other drivers if they do something stupid.

This morning encountered someone who had no clue who has the right of way. Luckily he stopped when I honked my horn or it would not have ended well.

Oh! Come on. We can easily get past 150! That is, if you're willing to help out.

Americans are rank amateurs at honking. Just travel to most other countries and you will find out that drivers honk at least 100 times as much as Americans do. In Saudi Arabia, when you came to an intersection, the first one to honk had the right-of-way.

People, people... you missed my point. May have nothing to do with round-about behavior, just some poor soul who took a wrong turn somewhere and was very much at risk of causing herself and others harm. Always drive defensively!!!

If you could do one thing to make roundabouts work better, what would you do and why.
I might suggest speed bumps at the entrance to force those aggressive jerks to slow down instead of speeding up to see if they can intimidate the drivers coming around.
Another would be to put speed cameras that issue tickets to vehicles exceeding the suggested 20 mph.
What would you suggest?

Thank you. We are better than those Saudis. Will put this into effect immediately

So she was north bound on Meggison in the south bound lanes?? Or was she going clockwise in the roundabout?

Is the main entrance at Richmond pitch and putt or is it the one farther north near Brownwood?

I am trying to figure out this could happen. It would take an effort for a car to go north in the south bound lanes.
