Did the golf cart adventure today driving from Tall Trees to Fenney Grill. Beautiful day with the breeze blowing. There are no signs directing you to Fenney. Go over Brownwood and Water Lily Bridges. Drive south on Meggison golf cart trail past Magnolia Plaza. Take first right at roundabout to Corbin Trail(?) Take Corbin Trail to Fenney Way. Made a day of it with other couples. Stopped at Brownwood to stretch then had lunch at Fenney Grill. Returned over Water Lily to Chitty Chatty Bridge and stopped for yogurt at Peachwave on 466A. We were gone 6 3/4 hours but we were in no rush.

I don’t golf but easily ride 1, 2 or 6 hours in the golf cart. Sometimes with a place to go and sometimes just to drive to get lost. I bought in the Villages solely to put many many miles on the golf cart. An hour to the farmers market, 1/2 hour or hour for music, 2-3 hours just to drive the entire loop around the Villages. The more miles the better.

By golf cart I can drive to 7 championship courses in 20 minutes (Belle Glade being the furthest) or less and the an 8th course (Glenview) in 25 minutes, and Lopez in 40 minutes. That's the whole reason I retired here was for the golf. If it weren't for that, I probably would of gone to Destin, Pensacola or somewhere in Pasco, Pinellas or Hernando Counties, near the beach to be exact.
TOTALLY agree!!! I was dead-set on retiring to a place near the gulf coast or panhandle, near the beach. Until, I discovered TV, and all the golf and activities. And I too found a place in the center, and have no desire to relocate. We took a cart ride to Edna's, haven't made it to Fenney yet. But, we did the loop around the SR44 bridges, and it was about 80mins, from our home in St James.

I spoke to one of these guys, when I was an Ambassador(they use our golf carts to take to the ponds. He said he's been bitten about a dozen times. Nothing critical! He just carries a stick and pokes it near the eyes, and they swim off! The greatest danger I witnessed, was him wading in a pond in front of a Par 3 green, with his back to the golfers teeing off behind him, and assuming they would all carry the water?!

So, is this something you will ever consider doing again?
And if so, why?

I would do this again. I would like to check out Edna's by golf cart and also Sawgrass when it is completed. I am also one of those people who think why sit at home when I can go exploring.
