We in our community (village) welcome everyone and do not ask for their respect. Don’t really know what that means…….rather irrational.
Maybe irrational is too kind a word.
Further what are the rules you have for under 19 that are different than anywhere in TV.

I do not have rules for children under 19. The community per the deed restrictions does. We are a group of retired people living in a retired community. It was sold to us in this manner. On this forum, posters have written about how upsetting it is to see young renters and children living in our community.

I understand their downtown will be public, like ours. But, the community is being sold as a place for those who work in the Villages. Many have bought homes with that thought in mind. The retired people are a much larger population and can easily overtake their downtown area. The young families will have no seats in the restaurants, music venues, etc. Maybe I think too much about other people and how my actions will affect them. But, irrational, NO!

I am not telling or demanding anyone on this forum to stay away from Middleton. I am asking one simple question. Will there be rules or standards for us older folks? Maybe, simple things like no alcohol in their music area only in our squares. If so, I have no problem abiding by them.

I have already learned one standard after posting my question. As an older gentlemen, do not walk the streets of Middleton, alone. I now understand this could cause concern for families with young children. I was investigating the area with ONLY my interests in mind. Now that I am aware, I will never do it again. What is wrong with asking a question? And, hoping for insightful responses? Aren't we all here to learn?

When our grandkids come and play in the street many of our neighbors are glad to see them. We will go to Middleton as we see no reason not to and will do our best to fit in.

Yes, some different overpriced, mediocre restaurants would be nice.

Maybe a game of stickball in a cul-de-sac would be a fun way to engage with the young folks.

The newest addition coming to downtown Middleton, 4 Rivers Smokehouse, brings mouthwatering BBQ flavors with a fast-casual dining experience. We’re excited to welcome 4 Rivers Smokehouse to our community.

4 Rivers Smokehouse is a family-owned, faith-based restaurant founded in 2004, originally supporting local schools, churches, and charitable organizations – well until they outgrew their garage. In October of 2009, they opened their first restaurant in Winter Park, Florida with a line out the door in the first hour.

Get ready for some great flavors coming to our community and follow along as we bring you more updates on what is on the horizon and set to come to Middleton.

Exciting and a great place to eat!

Nervous about fitting in?? Nah, wear your wrinkles with pride, its a wonderful family atmosphere. Tomorrow's generation needs all the first-hand wisdom it can get... then again so do we old folk!

So, are we supposed to keep to our area while they keep to theirs? I do not want any to feel invaded upon.
Our son lives there so we would not hesitate to go enjoy the area. The young come to enjoy this area, so no reason for the old to enjoy there area. It will be quite a while before any businesses are open, so Middleton residents will continue to use TV businesses.

Since 4 Rivers is, order food at the counter, and pay, pick up your food at the register, with little waiting. Should make many happy with a quick service restaurant.

They do have employees who will take a tray with you to the table, if one is not capable of carrying the tray themselves.

While we are big fans of Mission, We do like 4 Rivers, smoked sausage, lean beef (upgrade in price), and CherryWine soda at the beverage machine.
