What part of "the courses are closed for play after 4" doesn't everyone understand? You are trespassing after 4 and can't play. If caught, you will be asked leave on your own, or be "escorted" off.

I was told by my sales agent when we bought in that there were a few deeds that go back to the early 80's that had a stipulation in them that the rules that will apply to everyone else will not apply to them....

I'm guessing that those golfers that played through must have been those lucky ones...well at least one of them had to be and they could include the rest of their foursome

It’s not a walking path. It’s a golf cart path and it is private property, not community property. Walk on sidewalks, streets, and multi use paths of which there are miles and miles to use

Why should pedestrians be prohibited at times before the first T-time or after the final players of the day are over? I usually get up at 4:30, and I’d love to walk courses before the first T-off. I’d be done by 6:30. Some walkers or bike riders don’t play golf, even though their fees pay for the courses.

That’s what happened to Pickleball. People couldn’t follow the rules

Couldn't agree more. I live on a championship course, and in 6 years I've never set foot on it unless I was playing. Yet every day there are people walking, cycling, playing with their dogs off lease, or just riding in their carts. What part of trespassing is hard to understand?

The most recent district government bulletin states the courses are closing at 4:00 in order to provide for sufficient staffing at all executive courses. It is a matter of having enough employees to work at the courses.

We live on a championship golf course that is currently closed with signs that clearly state "Course Closed". Yet, every day I see walkers, bicyclists, joggers and golf carts cruising the paths. There is an ambassador assigned to this "Closed Course" whose job is to keep these people off the "closed" course. Were it not for the ambassador there would be an endless parade of walkers, joggers, bicyclists, golf carts and even people trying to play the "closed" course. The end result would be chaos. I completely understand why people cannot just do "their own thing". Just look at social distancing here in The Villages. There are those who thinks these guidelines refer to others, not themselves. Sad these "entitled" people don't wake up and think of others.

For one thing---insurance regulations. A ticketed golfer has accepted the risks of playing on the course. A trespasser has not---what happens if a walker breaks an ankle in a hole or a cyclists falls and injures himself?

And their fees don't pay for championship courses.
