Yea he told the cops he was just trying to pick up chicks. does that give you a sense of this poor guys state of mind.

Too many posters are too quick to defend The Villages. This places all of us at disadvantage. Simply stated these guys exist around the globe. We had a guy on one city we live in that lived on the main street and he would stand in his front window pulling the shade down to his belly button. when it was finally reported stories abounded of people reacting as if it were a tourist attraction. No one thoughtof defending the city. It is what it is

We are just as different as our high school class, our neighborhood back home, the people in our church or club and the people we worked with.

We are a spectrum of people, and some are easy to get along with and some are not.

Some have a moral compass and some do not. Some are happy and some are not. Some are financially secure and some are not. Some are healthy and some are not. We all have different value systems and some put eating healthily at the top and some put looking good at the top and some put their homes at the top and some put their church at the top and some put politics at the top, etc. etc. etc.

We have chosen to live here but the rule followers are having to deal with the rule breakers, the Democrats are having to deal with the Republicans and the not so rich are having to deal with the really rich and the young-old are having to deal with the old-old.

One thing we have in common is that there are far fewer years ahead of us than there are behind us and we need to suck the juice out of every day and enjoy this life because none of us know for sure who will go missing tomorrow.

Most of us have found out after the fifty five years that is advertised as our entry point that illness, death, heartbreak, disappointments, huge wonderful surprises and happy events that we have lived through do tend to make us more aware of what is good and what is useful and what is important.

We have 100,000 odd, um, people to pick as friends. I wish you as much luck as I have had. Being surrounded and supported by people who enjoy you and support you at this time in our lives is...priceless.

If you are lonely or sad or shy, my coffee pot is on and all you need do is message me.

Be prepared that I honestly, thoroughly and sincerely love this place.

Arrested for the second time according to Friday's newspaper, (section C3).

Charged with "lewdness against an adult", back in New Jersey in 1990.

This man is a sick puppy who needs help. Whether he wants to get help, or is capable of it, is to be determined.

Third arrest should have jail time, No?

I like The Daily Sun, as it disseminates articles of interest, and one can plan their day for special events, that are posted.

I am from the tri-state area, and grew up reading about who was murdered, and who was raped, or robbed!!!! I can get that type of news form the internet, or just turning on the television.

I do want the happy news and occasionally will want to hear of the small crime rate, in TV. Nuff said!!!! The amount of incidents, as opposed to the total population, is minuscle! IMHO

The flasher is one out of 110,00. He will go away, or be arrested and get jail time, assuming he doesn't change his ways, of "putting it out there".

A very small, and sad affair.

Howe now qualifies as a Frequent Flasher. It seems there are benefits for that, such as only $500 bail.

Maybe he was just confused about the time and place for this recently posted event:
"Bright at Night safety flashers to be offered Thursday at Market Square"

At our age we've all seen one -- maybe more. No big deal.

I was a cocktail waitress or bartender on the side for many of my "poor years." Needless to say, idiots like this one abounded. A cocked (seriously, I couldn't think of a different word!) eyebrow and a stern, "Quit being a dumbass" worked for 99.99% of all situations.

And I deleted a lot of what I wrote. It was a mistake. I started thinking what if this cought on and lot's of people started sunbathing naked and skinny dipping. Right now it's just a flash in the pan.

The important thing is not to go off half-cocked about such an occurrence.

Cheap thrills by any individual, regardless of mental reasons, cheapens the Villages. That is all we are famous for....sex at the squares, at the pools!

First of all thanks for the laugh. Second if you see anyone doing things like that simply call the police. Tell everyone around the person at the area. Some times a large group can help the person to the hospital. Where he will get care for all the accidental pain caused while helping.

I was the thinking the other day "Why would I want my own personal pool if all I have to do is go to a neighborhood pool?" Because it's more private.

Now if I'm a 68 year old pool salesman wanting to drum up business...................

I really believe in the adage "There but for the grace of God, go I".
And I agree that it should be the Villages mantra in most cases.
But not if people are mentally ill; then then they need treatment, not sympathy.

As I understand it, this guy has been flashing not only at pools, but also in the MVP parking lot.
Tom, you say he isn't hurting any children, but how do you know where he will be flashing next?
If the facts stated in the online newspaper are correct, he obviously needs some type of mental reconditioning.

I guess this guy is an owner. If he was a renter this would have been a load of posts pointing out the need for renters to have background checks. As we all know... it is only renters who drive poorly, litter, and do all the bad stuff...
