Leave it to the production builders, to figure out how to save a little money.

I would call the villages. Perhaps ask for the warranty department. Asking here what you will get is OPINIONS. From pseudo names. Based on our experience. they are very accommodating. We bought like 13 years ago. Sheetrock job was/is great.

Teasing a little. If, your going to paint you know who to blame for any paint issues.

I'm not an attorney. In real estate if it isn't in writing it is not binding. We closed like 13 years ago. I don't recall what was and it doesn't really matter.

Adventure. I have a large armoire. Like most large pieces of furniture.it can be taken apart to be moved. Haunted furniture. We/I painted our previous home to sell it. I was still packing with the moving van in front so was not watching the crew. They didn't know to take it apart. They couldn't get it down the stairs.. They scratched the furniture and damaged my just done paint. Long distance move. Same piece of furniture. They dropped it into the NEW bedroom wall. The damage to the wall was a hole like 1 foot by 2 foot.
The builder repaired it at no charge-no way anyone would know it was damaged.

It was pleasant surprise.
