I posted the original message with the hope that no one was seriously hurt and also become more informed as to potential safety issues since I am frequently at LSL at night - often walking to my car alone.

The incident was mentioned in the paper. It was reported that the victim could not remember what happened. Apparently he is OK.

No matter what the situation was, it is a reminder that TV is not perfect and we must all watch out for ourselves.

Well that's another welcome opinion

Yes there are some of us TOTVs who carry our guns-ALL THE TIME -
When you run short on Kool-aide - there are some TOTVs who will help
Just think were no first time posters to disbelieve
If someone posted that they had called the PD and this was there response ---
its would still be third hand - so maybe the PD could post on TOTV -- but that would not be belived - it really is not the PD or this is there first post -unbelievable
Just keep drinking the Kool-Aide and keep looking through rose colored glasses
Life is just a bowl or cherries
To whom are you directing this?

Considering this post started out as a simple question and turned into gunfight at the OK Corral... Is no one else a little concerned about so many people "packing" in TV?

That being said.... with so many guns in TV and thankfully, no one pulled one because then there may have been someone else hurt worse then the gentleman who was hit with a pipe. We are old people folks, with our reflexes and eyesight... Who knows what they would have shot!!!

I take umbrage at your characterization. Have you been to the archery tournaments? Have you been to the Senior Games? Do not tell me that seniors do not have reflexes and bad eyesight. Have you noticed that Mr. Magoo cartoons are rarely shown now a days? Shame on people who put seniors down.

I bet the dead people's family at Seals Beach wish their loved ones were packing. That sounds cold but so is the grave.

Thank you for sharing your observations of the scene.
According to the Daiky Sun, no one seems to know who did this. Many were witness to this altercation and yes, the 40ish male was hurt enough to be taken to the hospital.

And if the guy who was knocked on the head with a pipe in LSL was packing we could have had a lot more than 13,000 views of this thread.

Umbrage? Whoa, did someone buy a new dictionary?

I'll see your umbrage and raise you a vexation.
