It is our intent to move to TV within the next year. We plan on buying a designer home that has an expanded garage or a golf cart addition. However, if we find a home that we really like that does not have either of these features, how hard is it to obtain a variance or permission to add on? I realize that the answer to this question probably depends, to a certain extent, on which Village we move to. We are from Wyoming, and we know that there is not a state club. Are any of the other state clubs willing to adopt ?

I have seen some golf cart garage add ons...it can be done if your lot has the room with proper minimum open space to the next lot and if the design is architecturally compatible with the house. The bigger challenge will be to find a lot with enough open space on the garage side to add a gofl cart garage....usually, if the lot is that wide, it already has a GC garage. You'll have to find a lot on a corner, cul de sac, or a curve in the road in order to get space to the side.

No Wyoming club per se, but, there is a Western States club that meets monthly. Wyoming certainly qualifies.
