I think we need a name for our group. Any suggestions?

I think we should nominate DickY and Tal for co-presidents. I am making this suggestion based on the number of hours and/or posts they have.

Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary are up for grabs.

Bailiff - I nominate Handie for that position - this is based on the number of times he has used this symbol :cop: and if needs be he could play another role :joke: when fences need to be mended

All members of the support group should have their own computers.

Communication - via a thread or Chat rooms - so that those not in TV can be active participating members.

Dues - since we do not need an official room from TV - I propose we do away with the annual dues.

We can follow Roberts Rules, so as not to have a need for a :cop:

Please remember all of the above is presented IMHO.

I'll admit I come to TOTV daily, and multiple times a day, it's my favorite threat even though I don't yet live there! So, I'll join as a member, not yet ready for an office! LOLOL

JohnN, welcome to the club and TOTV as a member!! Many of us don't live in TV yet either, but we're just waiting for the day when all our dreams come true.

See you on Chat.

Ok thats it, I've just got to take some breaks from TOTV. I didn't realize what a problem I had until I shut off my computer to install my new Christmas present ( a wireless router) .... I learned that my wife left me nine days ago and I wasn't aware of it......So I made a new years res. to get out of the house more in 2008...
So here I am sitting in my golf cart in the backyard on my laptop talking to TOTV.....
NOW THAT WORKS , DOESN'T IT ???????

As with others about to retire I will follow William Tecumseh Sherman's lead upon his retirement from the Army in 1884, "If nominated, I will not run; if elected, I will not serve." I will just feed my addiction with multiple daily viewings and the occasional comment. 024

Great Posts, everybody.

Fumar, at least I knew my husband left me, geez, you're worse than I am.!!!

Enjoy the outdoors, I have to go food shopping now. Finished the PB & J yesterday so absolutely nothing left to eat today.

Later, Kath

Glad to hear I am in good company when it comes to this site. I can't walk by the computer without signing in on TOTV. That's pretty bad.

Isn't funny! There's Pat and JohnZ, but not too many other couples who share this addiction. My wife hasn't been to TOTV even once (to my knowledge) and she's not even curious. For me, it satisfies my need to be in TV.

Another addict here!!! I

would love it if we could get internet access everywhere in TV. That way I could use my laptop or cell phone to log on to TOTV anytime and anywhere.

It is always good to know that one is in excellent company. By all the post made I feel this is validated.

1. DickY, to my knowledge, of course also IMHO, when one is not present and is elected to a post, one accepts graciously. Thank you for the quote. George Washington, said something similar and became our first President. He turned down being King.

2. Great Fumar; What type of router did you get? We have been looking at some at Staples.

3. HELP HELP I will be working nearly the whole month of Jan. and do not know how often I will have access to a computer - I will be out of the country. :dontknow: (Creating a proposal for two groups of travellers. I will be posting a travellogue, but that is not the same.) I NEED ADVICE FROM ALL OF YOU - I DO NOT WANT TO GO THROUGH WITHDRAWL PAINS.

4. Punkpup, I will have to get a cell phone, so I can follow your lead. Thank you.

5. Kathie, after reading your post, do you want to be Social Secretary?

6. Kathie, if there is no opposition, I will also nominate you for the position of Empress of Most Addicted, but I am afraid you may have competition for this position.

7. Donna, I think can also be nominated for Empress of Most Addicted. I will nominate her also.

Respectfully submitted,

Hyacinth Bucket ( I do hope that this is read and viewed - with the same intent that I am writing it.)

HB you are wonderful! :#1:

Can't help you out about January and how to stay in touch, but I have a lot of Valium I can loan you for the Withdrawal problems you will have. Maybe they will help. op:

As far as the position of Social Secretary, whats the pay??? Pension, Bonuses, Pd vacation? I don't ask for much.

Yup, agree, Ms Donna is the empress.

Especially because she has those wonderful emotions and also she practically started the chat room. I'll happily concede to Donna. lovehorse Just don't give her my paying job. Love Kath

Addicted? :dontknow: My husband thinks so and I don't come close to some of you but every time I'm near the computer I do log on to see what's happening and what I've missed. I just don't post as often as some of you. When I'm on TOTV my husband then wants to know what's going on and what everyone is saying. It's a great way to stay in touch.

Hi Scottke,

Your statement is very impressive. "When I'm on TOTV my husband then wants to know what's going on and what everyone is saying. It's a great way to stay in touch."

By staying in touch with everybody on TOTV you are also communicating more with your husband.

Any marriage counsellors out there? A remedy on how to increase communication with your spouse.
