Default UPDATED INFO - possible security problem in Pennecamp?

Hi,

SEE BELOW FOR UPDATE
Something suspicious happened today, and I thought I'd alert people. This is our 3rd day in TV (we bought a great place in Pennecamp). We're in the Boxwood Villa area of Pennecamp, and today while we were reading the paper, we heard someone trying to open our front door. My husband said, "What was that?" and the dog barked. At that point, someone knocked on the door. I answered, and a young man (in early 30's) asked if I called in a leak, and he repeated our address, (duh, it's on the window!). I said no, and he left. When we looked out the window, we saw him go slowly down the street, and when he turned, we realized there was no signage on his truck...no plumbing biz sign or otherwise.

Now, maybe he was a plumber, but to try opening the door before knocking? That's suspicious to me. Thank goodness it was locked!

Anyway, I've called it into Community Watch and the Sheriff's Office, just to alert them, and now, I'll let you all know.

Red truck with flatwood back. No signage. Unfortunately, we were not quick enough to get the license plate number.

UPDATE: We met our builder today and guess who he was, the man in the red truck. I told him I'd called Community Watch and the Sheriff's Office, and we had a chuckle over it. Sigh, so glad it was him. Sorry to alarm anyone, but it was unnerving at the time.

BTW, we love our new place and have enjoyed everything else.

Saly,
Didn't see any damage on this red truck...unless he got a quick repair job.

Hope I'm wrong on "reading something" into the incident.

You were absolutely right on three counts, called community watch, called sheriff, alerted us.

Thanks!

Did you not get a tag number?

Gosh Sherman.

Maybe we can change what you always say after you have been here a month or two.

Welcome to you. I hope you find everyone smiling at you here and you get a beautiful shiny golf cart that goes pretty fast.

Kindest wishes,
Gracie
